This phone can be touted as the ray of hope for the manufacturing brand, because the phone looks quite good and promising. In terms of technical specs, there is a conspicuous similarity between this smartphone and Google Nexus 4. Nexus 4 has rounded edges and if you do away with those, you will probably get Optimas G. The only major difference is their rear casing.  If they are similar in some of the aspects, why should you consider buying this phone, which is comparatively more expensive? We'll find it out here...

Sony Xperia Z

Earlier smartphones from Sony such as Sony Xperia T and Sony Xperia S were rightly promising. But it is the Xperia Z that Sony is really garnering all the attention and appreciation in the marketing business of smartphones.

One of the things that differentiate between the smartphones, apart from their built and the features of their hardware/software is their camera functionality... If you pay anything between Rs. 22,000 and Rs. 45,000, you definitely expect a very nice camera capable of taking decent pictures. LG Optimus G has an enhanced 13 megapixels camera with an LED flash support. The secondary camera is significantly weak at only 2 megapixels. Xperia Z also has a camera with 13.1 megapixels and 2.2 megapixels on the front.

LG Optimus G has a 2100mAh battery which manages to give you an average life of about 6 hours & 40 minutes when you're in a video- watching spree. If you're working with 3G connectivity, you can get up to 13 to 14 hours of life in a heavy usage. While Xperia Z has a very huge battery at 2330 mAh. Sony claims that it gives you a talktime of up to 11 hours 550 hours of standby time.

Which phone you should go for

There are a number of things about Sony Xperia Z that you'll fall in love with. Although there some glitches, they fade in comparison with other incredible features. The Optimus G is also a nice feature-packed smartphone and has an ability to carry out any task effortlessly. Some of the features stand out remarkably. The phone also looks sophisticated and does not feel cheap, like previous LG phones. Both of these smartphones give you a good performance and almost very similar features and at almost same price range but at the end of the day, it goes down to which brand among the two you prefer. If it were me, I'd go with the Xperia Z just for a better battery performance and a body that isn't very delicate!
